Cultivating voice, agency, and leadership through the spoken and written word.
A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Literary Publisher • Est. 2019
Garden of Neuro Institute cultivates voice, agency, and leadership skills — and voice is the essential first step to everything that comes after.
The written word is one of the three major pillars of our institute's mission. Through our publishing division, we provide writers with professional publication opportunities, developmental editing support, and a community dedicated to literary excellence.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, accessibility is central to everything we do. We offer full and partial scholarships, free community programming, and services designed to reach writers who might otherwise be priced out of comparable offerings from for-profit publishers.
We publish poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, memoir, essays, cross-genre and hybrid work, humor, mystery, horror, thriller, suspense, sci-fi, fantasy, speculative fiction, and feminist writing — in both print and digital formats.
Curated collections published through Amazon KDP in paperback and hardcover, including our flagship Emergent anthology series.
Twelve active publications on Medium reaching over 15,000 followers, covering humor, food and culture, poetry, literary fiction, contemplative writing, and more.
Our literary magazine featuring short stories, poetry, and art. See our upcoming 2026 anthologies including Emergent Volume 2, Entropy Volume 1, and Bread.
For over five years, we've offered free programming to writers everywhere.
